Where is the nearest Liquor store?
Coles Liquor land is located at World Square, approximately 5 minutes’ walk on the corner of Pitt and Liverpool Street. There is also the Red Bottle liquor store which is positioned on 181 Elizabeth Street.
Where is the nearest train station?
Museum Station is located directly across from the Hyde Park Inn. There are multiple entry and exit points on Elizabeth, Liverpool & Castlereagh Street. Museum operates around the City Circle and can take you to destinations such as Circular Quay, Town Hall and Central Station.
Where is the nearest Bus Stand?
The nearest bus stand is located on the corner of Elizabeth & Bathurst Street. If you turn left when exiting the hotel, you will find this bus stand after a short walk up Elizabeth Street. This bus route operates predominately throughout the CBD. For outer City buses to head to Bondi, there is a bus stand on the corner of Elizabeth & Liverpool Street.
Where is the nearest Chemist?
Priceline Pharmacy is located 3 stores away from the Hyde Park Inn. They are generally open late and offer a range of pharmaceutical needs.
Where is the nearest Medical Centre or Hospital?
Feeling a bit under the weather? Hyde Park Medical Centre, located at 1/175 Liverpool street is just a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. This medical centre is also open on weekends.
St Vincent’s Hospital is located in Darlinghurst and can be accessed by bus or taxi. Hyde Park Inn recommends that you contact a staff member if you are feeling unwell.
How can I travel on public transport throughout the city?
Sydney buses, trains & ferries are linked with the Opal card system. Opal cards can be purchased from any convenience store or supermarket. Simply top up with the desired amount and the balance will instantly be available to use. There is a 7 eleven convenience store 50m from the Hyde Park Inn.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
All tap water in Sydney is safe to drink. To help us be environmentally friendly, we recommend you refill water bottles with tap water instead of purchasing plastic.
Does Hyde Park Inn provide rental cars?
No, we do not however we can direct you to Avis Car Rental which is located at World Square.

Sydney Opera House – Hosts a range of shows and renowned for its architectural brilliance. Sit right on the harbour and enjoy a cocktail at the Opera Bar or book a tour to explore what lies inside.
Sydney Harbour Bridge – One of the most iconic bridges in the world. Walk across the footpath overlooking the harbour to Milsons Point or book a Bridge Climb tour for breathtaking views to enjoy an experience like no other.
Luna Park – Enjoy a day out at the famous Luna Park. Perfect for thrill seekers and children with an abundance of rides and activities which epitomises your typical carnival atmosphere.
Shopping – Sydney boasts several shopping precincts which are close by to the Hyde Park Inn. Experience designer shops at Westfield Sydney or catch a street performance right in the centre of Pitt St Mall. The Museum of Sydney is the most popular among tourists however The Australian Mint, Museum of Contemporary Art, Australian National Maritime Museum & Powerhouse Museum regularly put on fascinating exhibitions which is certainly worth a visit.
Sydney is home to desirable beach locations and are easily accessible by catching a Bus right out the front of Hyde Park. Visit the world-famous Bondi Beach for a special day out or if your preference is a calm location without the crowds, make your way to Coogee beach or jump on a ferry to Manly Beach.
Taronga Zoo – Australia’s largest Zoo, inhabiting some of the country’s most fascinating wildlife. Taronga Zoo has recently eclipsed 100 years of operation and continues to be one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
